I am passionate about providing young people with the life chances they deserve and I won the Queen’s Anniversary Prize 2019-2020, which is the highest national recognition in the UK for an education project.
The ‘Mother Tongue Other Tongue’ project is a multilingual poetry competition that celebrates cultural diversity and the many languages spoken in schools in the UK.

I am a fully qualified South Asian female DJ and Bhangra Dhol Player. I learnt the art of playing the Dhol over many years, joining the few but growing number of South Asian female DJ and Dhol players in the UK.
I am passionate about making a positive difference and creating a more inclusive world and by doing so, being a good role model for others.
Personal Philosophy
I love Rumi and regard him as one of the greatest teachers of all times. The legacy of Rumi’s work is to love and to be of service to the whole of creation without any form of discrimination.
